Monica Tilea, associate professor at the University of Craiova (Romania) and leading researcher in the Mindchangers project, was present at Jornada Internacional de Educación para la Paz y la Ciudadanía Mundial organised by the UNESCO Chair for Democratic Citizenship and Cultural Freedom of the Universidad de La Rioja (Spain) during 28-29 October 2024.
Her presentation intitled “Fostering Youth Engagement through Academic Research: Insights from the Mindchangers Project” took place in the Salón de actos del Edificio Politécnico at the Universidad de La Rioja on the 28 October in front of an audience of fellow researchers from different European universities and research centres. She highlighted the role of data-driven insights in guiding young people to become proactive, informed global citizens and promoters of change and she emphasized how research work can provide valuable results for the engagement of young people in sustainable development and active global participation.
This event also marks the continuation of the collaboration between the Romanian and Spanish researchers that were part of the Mindchangers project.
