The project aims at mobilizing youth in the territories of Val Susa and Basso Stura, in Piedmont, Italy. These are agricultural territories where drought represents an actual challenge. Climate change is strictly connected to water management and migrations, and young people often feel these themes as closer than adults, even if they struggle being heard in their communities. Improving their awareness, responsibility and giving them concrete tools (capacity building) to become proactive, Y4H2O has the goal of improving sustainable lifestyles and collective actions, in order to generate change within the communities. The proposal represents a double opportunity: on the one hand the project can enhance a synergistic participation on topics still marginally addressed, on the other hand it can boost reflections and actions able to improve community development through the activation of social participation processes.
